Setup / Configuration
When you select 'Setup' from the menu (Shown on the previous page) the setup window appears. Here you can give the CNC icon a more relevant name and select the communications parameters. ModernApple Mac computers don't have RS232 serial ports as standard so you'll probably need to connect a USB/RS232 adapter. In most cases EasyDNC should detect any connected USB/RS232 ports and display them in the drop-down menu in the top right corner of the setup window.

The good news is that you can ignore many of the options in setup because EasyDNC does many things automatically at run time. But for the sake of this quick tour we'll just assume you've set it up correctly and you're ready to begin working with your CNC. |
