CAN EASYDNC SEND TO SERIAL PORT HUBS? OUR SHOP IS MOVING, SO IT IS TIME TO CONSIDER SERIAL PORT HUBS FOR ACCESS TO ALL THE MACHINES

Most of these hubs are supplied with device drivers which make the serial ports appear to windows as if they were local com ports so, in theory at least, there shouldn`t be any problem.

When using slow data rates etc then flow control isn`t so critical and you should be able to send receive data in either direction without any problems.

Is there any brands or models that you know for a fact work with your software?

pcmcia cards for laptops and pci cards for desktops. USB polls unless the software is written to take a break if interupted, the software will crash if polled during a transaction. Trust me !!!!!

There's no doubt that pcmcia is more efficient than usb but unfortunately not all modern laptops have pcmcia slots so there is often no choice except to use usb and, in most cases, they appear to work just fine.
