The Haas can receive just fine but doesn't send to the computer.

So you can send from the computer to the HAAS. But can't send from HAAS to computer.
That's strange.
Does the CNC show any alarm? Or does it behave as if it sent the data but the computer didn't receive anything. (Our does the computer receive junk? Anything?

The CNC acts as if it sends the data but it does not show an alarm and the computer does not receive anything at all.

I forgot to say that I am using a Brainbox US-279. And I can send to the HAAS at 115,200 baud over about 80 feet of shielded cable with no problem, so I don't think cabling is the problem.

So the CNC is acting as if it's sending data - the CNC thinks the data has been sent successfully.
EasyDNC is in receive mode - it's sat waiting for data? Is 'anything' at all appearing on the computer display? Even garbage or jumbled up data? Anything?
If you're getting absolutely nothing - computer display remains blank.
Check the cable is wired correctly. Data to and from the cnc use different pins/wires within the cable so it is possible for data to go in one direction but fail in the other.

It was the cable wiring after all. The HAAS specified wiring only works when sending to the machine. A HAAS technician said he uses a null modem cable and has no trouble sending/receiving. I tried it and verified that with my setup, so I mapped the pin-outs in the null cable and will rewire my connectors accordingly. I even tried a different software but I like EasyDNC better. Thank you.
