It won't take you more than a few minutes to test it though.
Just set RemoDNC to the same baud rate (8bits, No Parity) as the CNC. Set RemoDNC up to receive a file and then go to the CNC a send/punch a file.
Does anything appear on the computer display?
If you see all or mostly valid characters but all on one long single line of text then go into RemoDNC setup and change the LineEnd CR or LF setting.
If you see around 50% valid characters ie some on the same line are good while others on the same line are strange symbols then go into RemoDNC and change the parity to 7bits/Even.
Now what do you get?
