I have a Heidenhain control on a mill. I can send and recieve bia RS232 no problem but i am trying to set it up through a Moxa Nport5110 for ethernet connection and all i get is could not connect to the ip address. I can ping the box no problem. Any body got any ideas? Using Win 8.1.

They have a PDF showing setting up a moxa device. They sent me a link to it a while ago.
This isn't the exact same moxa device as you've got but the settings should be quite similar?
Not sure what's happening but i replied to this yesterday and now it's gone. Thanks for that but i do have it. After spending time chatting with a Moxa tech it is suspected that my unit is the problem as i can send from serial port and i can see it going in and i can ping from the other end but nothing goes through.
