Hi everyone!
(i'm french so my english is far from perfect)
I try to send and receive program between my pc and my CNC but i can't.
Here's what i do when i want to receive:
I put receive mode on the pc
I put edit on the machine
I press "O" and then the program number ex:O0002
I press "start output"
Then i have an alarm 086..
It's the first time i'm using the cable and the softawre so it has never worked before.
I'm not sure if parameters on the softawre are good for this machine, i've tried the auto mode but but it doesn't worked.
If someone can help me please!
PS: the machine is a Yang lathe.
Look at the cable diagram. Specifically at the connections between pin 6-8-20 at the cnc end of the cable.
If you purchased a ready made computer cable from a computer store then it is likely that that connection does not exist. You need to make the cable yourself.

We have Nakamora with a fanuc 18t . I used your settings and will not send or receive programs . I am using a cable that works with another departments laptop with similar software but still does not work with your software in my departments laptop. com ports are set correctly because it gives me port not found when I change to another port.

You said it does not send or receive.
What happens when you try? I mean does the cnc show an alarm?
Try sending data FROM the cnc to the computer. Put the DNC into receive mode and at the cnc punch out a program. What happens? Alarm at the cnc? Garbage on the comouter display? Or what?

No alarms and says it is sending and receiving but it is not. sometimes I get garbage from the machine but not always.

You mentioned "another department".
Are you able to try your laptop with that other department's CNC machine? Making sure the settings, baud rate etc are the same on your laptop.
