When you try to send to the cnc what happens ?
Does the cnc throw an alarm?
Does the dnc software scroll all the way through the program to 100% as if the file was sent? Or does it stick at the start (or part way through) showing a message 'waiting for CNC)?
or anything else?
What control is it?
Do you still have access to the old computer? If you do then it would be worth getting a copy of the settings file. The software usually installs in the folder
c:program filesRemoDNC
(or EasyDNC depending on the version)
In that folder should be a file DNC.SETTINGS.INI
You might not see the last 3 letters of the file name but i'm sure you'll recognize the file. If you copy that file from the old computer the the new one then that will make suer all the settings are the same (com port number may need changing though)

Did the old computer also have v5? Or was that running v4?
The settings in the dnc software - how sure are you that they're the same as they were on the old computer?

Frank. We'll be in touch via email.
In the short term it might he worth installing the old version on the new computer.
There shouldn't be a problem with v5 but by trying the old software we can eliminate that as a possibility.
